Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model from 11 November 1996. Following her debut in a feature film by playing a minor role in the Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to portray the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Donovan was Charlotte as Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was approached by a photographer who asked her to model. Then she began her career as a commercial model. Doody strove to avoid glamorous and sexy roles, that was a rule she incorporated into her acting. After being noticed by the casting directors of the James Bond new film, Doody acted in a tiny part in Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody appeared in John Willis Screen World Volume 2 as one of 12 promising actors to be cast in 1986. 38. Doody was just turning 18 when she was given the role as a Bond girl. She remains the youngest Bond girl. Another film from her early days played a tiny part in the film in the role of IRA member Siobhan Donovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) which featured Mickey Rourke. Doody was Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in 1987's television adaptation The Secret Garden. The episode of the Storyteller Sapsorrow was her first leading part. It aired in 1988 with Dawn French, John Hurt and Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her most memorable role to date as Austrian archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody is a member of the James Bond family, having played alongside Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Final Crusade. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. Then, she moved to Hollywood. She starred as Flannery as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody returned to acting in 2003 when she played a minuscule role in The Actors, a British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at the awards ceremony. In 2004, she starred in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She was also as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 publication about the Holocaust. Doody was a part-time actress in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). She later guest starred in the medical drama of RTE The Clinic and was set to be the lead actress in a remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx but the project was later put on hold. In 2011, she started the first season of two in the E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she appeared on We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). She received the Almeria tierra de cinema award on the 21st of November, 2018.
