Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18, 1985, at Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix's athletic talent was evident from the moment she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition and placing in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix graduated from high school and subsequently signed an agreement for Adidas. In 2004, she began her studies at her first year at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s and set a new junior world record. She was the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top third of each of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
