Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and Her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed a knack for sports early in her life, and discovered her talent for sprinting when she was a student at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. After only 10 weeks after the first time she tried, she finished second in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003. She then enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. In 2004, Felix achieved her very first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting the world junior record sprinting 200 meters with a time of 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest ever world winner in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, defeating her time-tested Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently at the top of the podium in her various events during the Olympics that took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
